Moonum Acres-10-08

October 19th - 23rd Melissa and I were able to make it back up to Moonum Acres to do some more work on the mobile home.

In the past month since we were here last the grass (and/or weeds) hadn't grown to badly. I started mowing the property and before I hardly was started, I hit a branch which brought the engine to a sudden stop and cracked the engine. The oil came pouring out as I tried to revive the dead mower. I pulled out the the old grass trimmer and finished up the yard and trail around the 5 acres of property.

This was the first trip we from the start stayed at the mobile home and didn't spend any nights at a hotel. A 65 dollar a night saving. The temperatures were mild. Sunday the high was 72 degrees and was around 80 the last night with lows in the lower 50's to around 60.

The first night was a little cold in the mobile home by morning so we decided to buy an electric radiator type heater. We didn't need it though as each day was warmer then the one before. We also picked up a radio with CD player, a pack of night lights, light bulbs, replacement kit for the one toilet plumbing for inside the tank, wash cloths and hand towel set.
